Idea minus Implementation = 0

Firstly it feels strange that over 1 year has passed since i last penned down something..
i guess i've been discussing things a lot lately rather than just pouring over thought in here..

coming straight 2 the topic.. i never thought in my wildest dreams that fb will be a phenomenon that it is today. i suppose none of the initial core members ( the list is controversial as you all knw ) had thought the magnitude of this thing as well ..
i suppose most of us knw about the existence of winklevoss brothers only via social network the movie. the movie seemed quiet anti zucherberg in the sense it gave a msg tht he really had copied the idea and kinda looted the twins of their upcoming glory and huge profits ..

well well well .. i simply dont agree to that, and the fact that zuckerberg had to pay them 65mil$ or more for just having that idea ..
how many times have you seen that happening in today's world ? someone having an idea and never ever going ahead with doing something about it ? i myself knw 3 or 4 such instances.

friends sit together, discuss an idea, discuss how big it is, discuss how its not been thoght of, how it is the most relevant thing around... most of the times these idea bearers dont have the luxury of following their dreams.
some lack in money, some lack in technical capability and some just are not motivated enough to leave aside luxury of a high paying and bring their idea to life ..

so in totality .. an idea without execution is equal to a big fat ZERO...
it just means nothing at all ..
if u really think you own it and its the most awesome thing anyone has ever thought of .. why dont you just go ahead and implement it ??

you cant stop someone who had actually gone ahead and did it ..
all you can do in the end is just b happy that you really thought right and it was your brain child .. next time may be you can go ahead and do it yourself :)

Well you have touched two things.I couldn't agree more on implementation if ideas. No dream comes true until we wake up and go for work.

But talking of FB, zuckerberg paying even a penny is a proof of fact that it was not his idea and he did had a guilt couscous. He copied what winklevoss' had already implemented for the uni. How can u say they didn't had a plan for making it public. There are SLOW implementers too. Even FB's real exponential growth came when they copied twitters streamlined feeds.

Leaving the controversy aside, I do agree, it takes a lot to implement your ideas. And more than anything else, its the risk taking ability that matters, for we have seen more failures than success in this world.

Somehow I believe we are in an amazing era. The environment is conducive enuf and there are support(VC et al) and channels to promote ur idea(and implementation).

hmmm..
well the reason i see zuckerburg made that payment is to avoid any more of the legal complications.. when you are having a netwroking site which has population ranking only 3rd in world population i dont think you would like 2 waste any time on anything that could possibly hamper your growth path.. thats what any wise man would have done ( after advice from more intelligent wise advocates .. hee hee )

yup these are amazing times to be in .. everything is changing so fast and every one is just about so connected with the online medias.. you just dont knw what nxt awesome thing is gonna hit you next :)
